JOSEPH DARIMONT VOCATIONAL AWARD ($1,300)
Deadline is First Friday in March This scholarship is designed to help an individual 18 yrs – 50 years of age at the time of the application who is preparing to enter/return to the workforce. High School Seniors (and others currently in High School) do not qualify for this scholarship. The grant may be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies. It may be used only for usual and required costs of applicant’s planned course of study and must be paid directly to the school they will be attending. “Second Chances" Scholarship” Deadline is May 15 WHO MAY APPLY: Any female over 25 years of age who plans to pursue an eligible Vocational/Technical course in the state of Washington, above and supplemental to high school or preparatory school level, may file an application. All applicants must be citizens of the United States of America on the date the application is filed. This application must be filed with Washington State Elks Association. VOCATIONAL GRANT Deadline: Due to the lodge of jurisdiction no later than the First Friday in March WHO MAY APPLY: Any graduating Senior High School student and/or General Education student, who is a U.S. Citizen is eligible, receiving a diploma or certificate during the current program year and planning to pursue an eligible Vocational/Technical Course, above and supplemental to High School or Preparatory School, may apply. |
2017 Scholarship Contests
The Most Valuable Student scholarship contest and Legacy Awards contest kicked off on September 1, 2016. In addition to the launch of a new scholarship season, the Elks National Foundation Scholarship webpages have been updated. 2017 Most Valuable Student Contest
The Elks National Foundation is proud to announce the launch of the 2018 Most Valuable Student Scholarship contest!
Click here to learn more and to access the application for the 2018 Most Valuable Student contest. The MVS contest is open to any high school senior who is a U.S. citizen.
Applications are due online by November 30, 2017.
The top 20 MVS finalists will attend the Most Valuable Student Leadership Weekend from April 6-9, 2018, in Chicago to interview for the top awards of $50,000, $40,000 and $30,000. The remaining 14 finalists will receive $20,000 each.
480 other deserving national finalists will receive $4,000 scholarships to support their college education.
